What do I need to provide to get a CAD design?
Anything that gives us enough to work from — a sketch, photos with measurements, the broken part, or a clear description. The more detail you can provide, the faster and more accurate the design process.
How long does CAD design take?
Simple parts are typically designed within 1–2 working days. More complex designs may take longer — we'll give you an honest timeline in the quote.
Can I keep the CAD file after?
Yes, by default you receive the printable STL file. If you need the native CAD file (e.g. STEP format for further editing), request this in your enquiry — we'll quote accordingly.
How accurate will the design be?
As accurate as the inputs allow. If you provide precise measurements, the design will be precise. If you're working from approximate dimensions or a sketch, we'll flag tolerance-sensitive dimensions and check fit before finalising.
Is CAD design available without printing?
Yes. We can provide a design-only service. Tell us you only need the file and we'll quote for the design work alone.
Can you modify an existing design I already have?
Yes. If you have an STL or STEP file that needs changes — adding features, adjusting dimensions, or fixing errors — we can quote for the modification work.
